Snowflake, with its vision to enrich the customer experience- CX of its cloud clients, has successfully acquired Streamlit, an open-source application development framework. The acquisition is reportedly carried out for US$800 million.
The acquisition will enable data scientists and developers on both platforms to build easy and fast web applications. As for Snowflake’s clients, front-end development by Data Scientists is now possible without the need of having knowledge on application development. Streamlit users will also benefit from the acquisition by using Snowflake’s collaborative cloud platform to work on data they can trust.
